Hello everyone!! So if you have been following my blog for a while you might know that I had quite long hair BUT I chopped most of it off! Its not dramatically short but its a change for me and I love it! On with the blog post! I took a trip to Digbeth with my dad as we love wondering round the streets finding cool styles and amazing street art. We also went in to Birmingham itself and had a coffee which was delicious. I'm in love with my new top from Top Shop because I absolutely love and adore the ringer tee style. I originally wanted some from Urban Outfitters but when I saw this I was completely and utterly in love with the pattern and colours. My denim skirt is one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe because it can be worn so easily! I always turn to my Doc Martens in most outfits because they are so comfy and really grungify an outfit- if that is a word!

BIRMINGHAM VINTAGE KILO SALE | ad

First off, let me just apologise for how picture heavy this post is but I simply cannot help it! I was invited to the Birmingham Vintage Kilo sale by a lovely girl called Jenessa. I've been to the event once before and got a few items but this time I knew what I was doing and got quite a lot of vintage bargains! If you haven't heard of the Vintage Kilo sale, it is basically where tonnes of vintage clothing from the 1960s-90s are put in huge rummage tubs and rails for people to look through. You can pick & mix items you like by putting them in a vintage kilo carrier bag, and when you’ve finished shopping, you take it to the weighing tills where you will be charged £15 per kilo. I've found that you can literally get a whole new wardrobe for super cheap - I certainly have for S/S15!

Now, firstly when I was welcomed in, I immediately was very jealous of Jenessa's paisley print shirt and dress. She looked amazing! I went rail to rail and picked up lots and lots of items which were slightly more colourful than my normal wardrobe! I think there was a lot of things I could have picked up- especially shoes - but I kept it all clothes and I'm so excited to wear it all! I met a lovely girl with a beautiful, brightly coloured Kanken! I had to take a picture with us standing together because I simply loved it! Maybe I'll treat myself to a yellow Kanken soon!

Since we are leaving winter behind and we are entering spring and summer, I did take that into consideration when picking things up! I decided I needed more dresses and skirts so luckily I found loads I loved. I really adore pinafores and I got one which will be so good to layer with a white ringer tee underneath! I also wanted to go out of my comfort zone a little, so I got a tea length skirt with a gorgeous patch print on! I think in the summer with some converse or doc martens I will get a super cute yet grungy look. Shirts and collars have always been something I love- I managed to find 3 different style tops that I can layer and wear in different ways!

If you ever get chance to go to one of these events and you love vintage its an amazing experience and I love it! For more info and event listings check out the Vintage Kilo Facebook page here!

LATE NIGHT TRIPS.

Hello. So this is quite an overdue post. I remember taking these photos about 1-2 weeks ago and I completely forgot about them! I didn't want them to go to waste even if the New Year is right here and Christmas has passed! These are taken at the Custard Factory which is definitely an amazing place to take photos- even at night. It looked super pretty with all the lights on and the trees lit up! My outfit is pretty simple but perfect to keep warm during these colder months! I'm in love with this camel coat and perhaps wear it with every single one of my outfits! My scarf is from New Look and I have plenty of tartan scarfs as they are so wintery and gorgeous!

Finally I've been to Digbeth Dining! Digbeth dining is a place for all things street food! In a small part of Digbeth there are little stalls set up to give you the best street food there is and believe me its amazing... forget your fast food when there's this! I had an amazing burger- yes burger- and the most delicious Nutella and Oreo Crepe! YUM! It was such a good atmosphere/vibe and so many people were genuinely having a good time. On to my outfit. Recently I bought this gorgeous camel coat, which I absolutely love. I wish it would get colder so I can wear it more often!! It was from Primark which is unbelievable as I found it in Zara for twice the price! Im in love with these jeans and they are such a staple piece along with my amazing AM T-shirt! I literally wear it every single day.

CITY OF COLOURS.

Hi guys! How you doing? This weekend I went to the City of Colours festival which takes place in Digbeth. Digbeth is in Birmingham and its building up a cool reputation as the new Shoreditch. As many of you know I go to the Custard Factory a lot. A LOT. Surprisingly it was mostly held at the Custard factory! I also popped into my favourite shop COW Vintage but not for long as I just wanted to see all the art! Many Street artists from around the world came here to show their amazing talent! I'm so jealous of their creative flare- I wish I could do what they do. The weather was incredible for it and the atmosphere was just to good! Hundreds of people were even maybe even thousands but it was so brilliant. There was an indoor market which sold a range of different things and we made some cheeky purchases! We had lunch at this BBQ type place and it was yummy! I still cant get over how extraordinary some art actually is. Some artists that are my favourite we: Gent 48, C3, D7606, Golden Boy, Jimmy C, Liskbot and Inkie. If you don't know who they are check them out as their work is amazballs.
