BIRMINGHAM VINTAGE KILO SALE | ad

First off, let me just apologise for how picture heavy this post is but I simply cannot help it! I was invited to the Birmingham Vintage Kilo sale by a lovely girl called Jenessa. I've been to the event once before and got a few items but this time I knew what I was doing and got quite a lot of vintage bargains! If you haven't heard of the Vintage Kilo sale, it is basically where tonnes of vintage clothing from the 1960s-90s are put in huge rummage tubs and rails for people to look through. You can pick & mix items you like by putting them in a vintage kilo carrier bag, and when you’ve finished shopping, you take it to the weighing tills where you will be charged £15 per kilo. I've found that you can literally get a whole new wardrobe for super cheap - I certainly have for S/S15!

Now, firstly when I was welcomed in, I immediately was very jealous of Jenessa's paisley print shirt and dress. She looked amazing! I went rail to rail and picked up lots and lots of items which were slightly more colourful than my normal wardrobe! I think there was a lot of things I could have picked up- especially shoes - but I kept it all clothes and I'm so excited to wear it all! I met a lovely girl with a beautiful, brightly coloured Kanken! I had to take a picture with us standing together because I simply loved it! Maybe I'll treat myself to a yellow Kanken soon!

Since we are leaving winter behind and we are entering spring and summer, I did take that into consideration when picking things up! I decided I needed more dresses and skirts so luckily I found loads I loved. I really adore pinafores and I got one which will be so good to layer with a white ringer tee underneath! I also wanted to go out of my comfort zone a little, so I got a tea length skirt with a gorgeous patch print on! I think in the summer with some converse or doc martens I will get a super cute yet grungy look. Shirts and collars have always been something I love- I managed to find 3 different style tops that I can layer and wear in different ways!

If you ever get chance to go to one of these events and you love vintage its an amazing experience and I love it! For more info and event listings check out the Vintage Kilo Facebook page here!

Saturday 14th February. I went to Nottingham and it was a very shopping filled day! I really wanted to go to the COW Vintage in Nottingham and so I did and I love it so much! My outfit was a new purchase from COW when I won a £50 voucher and this was one of their re worked Ralph Lauren dresses and Im completely in love with it! It was £25 and I think that is such a good price for a dress. My coat must be a few years old now but it keeps me really warm and goes with everything! I don't think there has been more than one day after buying my boots last year that I haven't worn them. This outfit is pretty basic&simple but I love it so much!

I managed to find this skirt on E-bay and it was such an amazing find as the AA Skirts I was looking to buy were just out of my price range. DARK LOVE.

Camel Coat: Primark
Black Jumper: Primark
Shoes: River Island
Kanken: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Primark
Hat: Primark

Hello Lovelies. I must admit this is a very Primark based outfit but looks so chic. I absolutely love dark colours and monochrome themed outfits! I originally wanted to wear a black coat but then realised that my whole outfit would have been too gothic for my taste. I added my favourite coat from Primark which does very much keep me warm and used the very infamous Kanken as my bag choice. I haven't worn my chunky cut out booties in a while, so today I grabbed them and actually really love them with this outfit. I recently reinvented an old bracelet into a new necklace and also ordered a choker from a store on EBay! I layered the two together and really love it. The hat just makes this outfit so chic and classy. It's such a pretty hat and just finishes the outfit.... it also kept my head really warm. I wore this outfit to Birmingham shopping and surprisingly only bought one item! It was a sneaky purchase as it was from Victoria's Secret but I'll show you that in another post!

SATURDAY CATCH UP.

Denim Jacket: Valentino (Rokit Vintage London)
Jumper: H&M
Black Jeans: Primark
Shoes: Classic Converse
Bag: Black Kanken
Rings: ASOS & Bershka
Watch: Urban Outfitters

Yesterday I went out for lunch with my best friend, so I thought I'd wear this casual but cool kinda outfit. I recently purchased a pair of these high waisted black jeans which are kind of a big deal in my wardrobe! My old ones ripped so it was time to get a new pair! They are only Primark jeans but they are very similar to the Top shop Joni Jeans! Of course the Kanken had to be added to the outfit! It has to be my favourite bag ever! I think it adds something abit different to the outfit even though some would say its just a black backpack.... its not. I added my Rokit Vintage Valentino Denim Jacket to this outfit as its a different option to my camel coat which I normally go for. My Stripey Jumper is from H&M which I got in Paris and this adds just a nice pattern to a simple outfit. For Christmas I got these gorgeous Classic Converse and I always struggle to choose between these or my Doc Martens for my outfits but today I did go for the Converse. All I did was go to Nandos. YUM. But for the rest of the day we chilled, watched a film and played on the wii. What else better to do on a Saturday night right?

SNOWY DAYS.

Camel Coat: Primark
Black Jumper: Primark
Tartan Scarf: Urban Outfitters
Mom Jeans: COW Vintage
Shoes: Doc Martens - Original
Bag: Fjallraven Kanken

ITS 2015! The new year is officially here... I'm not too sure how I feel about that though! THERE HAS BEEN SNOW! FINALLY. I guess you could even say we've had a white Christmas... almost. So today I have a really cool outfit post for you! I'm actually really excited about this one as this was a quick last minute outfit yet I actually really love it! Ever since getting my Kanken bag for Christmas, it hasn't left my hand. I'm in love with it so much. Another thing I'm in love with are my doc martens. They have been featured in a lot of outfits I wear. The mom jeans- I'm still positive I don't pull these off as well as some people but they're amazing and fit my style. Its a different alternative to my skinny black jeans which I must admit are the staple piece in my wardrobe. Again this scarf is a must have. I think it fits perfectly with the coat and my own style.

DOWN IN DIGBETH.

So I was down in Digbeth when loveliest woman stopped me and said she loved my outfit and would like to take a picture for her blog! Of course I accepted and today I went and looked on Street Style Snaps and there the post was! It was so lovely to have my outfit noticed and it was really fun to talk to her.

Down in Digbeth there was a sale on which made me very happy although I didn't buy anything from there, which is a little strange for me but when I got home after a day of inspiration, I went online to Boohoo.com and ordered a velvet swing dress! Today though, I went shopping...again, and bought a Navy velvet skirt and a Black velvet dress. Can you tell I'm obsessed with velvet right now? I find it so christmassy and perfect for winter! I think I'm going to do a Winter haul soon so you will be able to see everything I've been buying as there is a lot!

I'm also considering doing a look book, so if you are interested in seeing that please comment below! THANKYOU.

COW VINTAGE

         Skirt: COW Vintage, £10
           Dungarees: COW Vintage, £20

Hello Lovelies! That's right you guessed it I went shopping and bought more clothes! For a while I have wanted a pleated skirt and I'm not normally a big fan of leopard print, but this skirt just looked really good on the hanger and being slightly big headed it looked good on me! I thought for £10 it's such a good price and for Vintage, which is my favourite, I couldn't resist! Dungarees are my thing right now! I tried some on in Urban Outfitters and just fell in love but they were out of my price range! I knew that COW sold them so when I came I saw them in my size for £20 and immediately bought them! They are quite over sized which I love as it gives a 90's feel to the outfit!

I'm going to Paris for a few days, so there will be many outfit posts coming including these items of clothing!
