Hello everyone!! So if you have been following my blog for a while you might know that I had quite long hair BUT I chopped most of it off! Its not dramatically short but its a change for me and I love it! On with the blog post! I took a trip to Digbeth with my dad as we love wondering round the streets finding cool styles and amazing street art. We also went in to Birmingham itself and had a coffee which was delicious. I'm in love with my new top from Top Shop because I absolutely love and adore the ringer tee style. I originally wanted some from Urban Outfitters but when I saw this I was completely and utterly in love with the pattern and colours. My denim skirt is one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe because it can be worn so easily! I always turn to my Doc Martens in most outfits because they are so comfy and really grungify an outfit- if that is a word!

SWIM DEEP.

April 2nd 2015, I got to see my favourite indie band. Swim Deep were back in Birmingham at The Oobleck and of course I went to see them! For those of you who haven't heard of Swim Deep they are an Alternative Indie Pop band from Birmingham which is also where im from! I'm so in love with their music and a lot of my style inspiration comes from them. I must say I adore the clothes they wear! The Oobleck is located next to Alfie Birds @ The Custard Factory in Digbeth. Digbeth in itself is a pretty indie scene filled with unpopular popular bands and colourful street art. The night was incredible- considering we got front row, I held James Balmonts hand and met my favourite Bass Player Cavan McCarthy. My actual concert photos are pretty wild and full of flashing lights and an alien like scene. Austin  (lead singer) introduced the first song as a 'little bit weird' but its stuck in my head and I cannot wait for their new album! My favourite songs from the night were

King City
To My Brother
Honey
Fueiho Boogie
Red Lips I Know

KNEE SOCKS.

Denim Jacket: Vintage Valentino
Black Top: New Look
Tartan pleated Skirt: COW Vintage Rework
Knee Socks: Top shop
Dr Martens Shoes
Choker: EBay store
Kanken Bag

As you may have noticed the other day I went to The Vintage Kilo sale and ventured out to The Custard Factory in Digbeth! I really loved my outfit so thought I'd share with you extra snaps I took on that day! I love my denim jacket and as it's getting closer to spring and summer where the weather is picking up and the sun is coming out I think its more appropriate to wear it. I got this skirt for only £4 from COW and I cant believe I haven't worn it more often! The title of this post is called knee socks as well im wearing them! I decided to be more confident and I love the style so I went for it! I think they make an outfit look so different and I paired them with light denier tights for a better effect. The socks give a more 90's edge to the outfit!

BIRMINGHAM VINTAGE KILO SALE | ad

First off, let me just apologise for how picture heavy this post is but I simply cannot help it! I was invited to the Birmingham Vintage Kilo sale by a lovely girl called Jenessa. I've been to the event once before and got a few items but this time I knew what I was doing and got quite a lot of vintage bargains! If you haven't heard of the Vintage Kilo sale, it is basically where tonnes of vintage clothing from the 1960s-90s are put in huge rummage tubs and rails for people to look through. You can pick & mix items you like by putting them in a vintage kilo carrier bag, and when you’ve finished shopping, you take it to the weighing tills where you will be charged £15 per kilo. I've found that you can literally get a whole new wardrobe for super cheap - I certainly have for S/S15!

Now, firstly when I was welcomed in, I immediately was very jealous of Jenessa's paisley print shirt and dress. She looked amazing! I went rail to rail and picked up lots and lots of items which were slightly more colourful than my normal wardrobe! I think there was a lot of things I could have picked up- especially shoes - but I kept it all clothes and I'm so excited to wear it all! I met a lovely girl with a beautiful, brightly coloured Kanken! I had to take a picture with us standing together because I simply loved it! Maybe I'll treat myself to a yellow Kanken soon!

Since we are leaving winter behind and we are entering spring and summer, I did take that into consideration when picking things up! I decided I needed more dresses and skirts so luckily I found loads I loved. I really adore pinafores and I got one which will be so good to layer with a white ringer tee underneath! I also wanted to go out of my comfort zone a little, so I got a tea length skirt with a gorgeous patch print on! I think in the summer with some converse or doc martens I will get a super cute yet grungy look. Shirts and collars have always been something I love- I managed to find 3 different style tops that I can layer and wear in different ways!

If you ever get chance to go to one of these events and you love vintage its an amazing experience and I love it! For more info and event listings check out the Vintage Kilo Facebook page here!

MY SHOE COLLECTION.

Yes I have called this a collection because well it is... As silly as it sounds, shoes are a big part of my life. I love Fashion and clothes right? So shoes just complete an outfit for me and these are some of my favourite shoes that I never get tired of wearing! These are the shoes that are mainly taken out of my wardrobe and worn. First off are my all time favourite shoes and they are original Doc Martens. I have the 1460's and 1461's! I can pair these shoes with basically every outfit and they go amazingly well. I find that they're really comfortable and just easy wearing. I've had my chunky cut out boots for quite some time now but they're still vital in my collection! A new pair of boots I bought from River Island are these greeny, grey chunky wedge Chelsea boots, I must admit im quite tall anyway and these make me about 5"10 but they look good and hey its good to be tall! Finally I purchased these chunky sandals from Primark for a party I went to but I actually wanted them last summer. I think these will be my main pair of shoes worn in the summer months as they will look extra good with skirts and dresses!

NEW IN | VINTAGE

I have been on many many shopping trips over the past couple of weeks and picked up one or two items each time and lets just say it has built up a lot! Now some of these aren't going to be everyone's cup of tea but they're certainly mine! I seem to buy lots of shirts, but I love how you can layer them with cute knits and create a style that way. I got a floral one from COW vintage (in fact everything unless stated otherwise is from COW!) which was £12 and it's quite daring for me as its so colourful but paired with black jeans, it looks amazing! I've always loved the Ralph Lauren re-works from COW and I got this beige coloured dress for only £25 and I have already worn it loads! In my most recent trip shopping I went out of my comfort zone and got a 90's Bomber Jacket and I know they're hard to pull of but it was only £5 and I couldn't not get it, especially after wanting one for such a long time. It's all about denim at the minute and bringing the 70's vibe back so I did get a denim dress which looks so good paired with the chunky knit cardigan I picked up from COW Nottingham! Another extremely recent item I purchased was the cherry shoes you might have spotted. Yes I invested in some Doc Martens but in the 1461 style. I'm so totally in love with them. Finally I got an oversized but fairly thick jumper and this fits so perfectly and can be worn into the spring with the sleeves rolled up for a more calming look.
I do apologise for such a wordy post as its very unusual but I had so much to share with you and could probably do more!
